Writing Workshop

Join us this November for a two-part virtual workshop, Blogging with Vulnerability: Honoring Your Boundaries and Creating Connection, with Dr. Katherin (K E) Garland—award-winning writer, adoptee, and co-founder of the Black Adoptees Meetup. Through guided prompts, Dr. Garland will share how storytelling can be a powerful tool for healing, connection, and claiming your voice. You will leave the workshop ready to publish your own blog, submit to an organization's blog, and use your story to create connections with your fellow adoptees.

This workshop will take place in two 90-minute sessions on Sunday, November 2 and Sunday, November 9.

This event is open to BIPOC adoptees only (ages 18+), including BIPOC former and current foster youth, those living with a legal guardian, and descendants of adoptees (where one parent identifies as a BIPOC adoptee).

Registration will be required and will open in late September. Please check back for details, or sign up for our newsletter to be notified when registration launches.
