The Third Annual BIPOC Adoptees VOICES Conference is a free, immersive, in-person-only event created specifically for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) adults ages 18 and older who identify as:
This unique gathering is designed to create space for connection, healing, and empowerment within the adoptee community.
Now in its third year, the conference theme is: “Movement Building Through Connection, Hope, and Healing.” This year’s conference will feature engaging workshops, plenary sessions, and community building activities. By centering the voices and experiences of BIPOC adoptees, the conference aims to spark meaningful conversation and inspire action toward social justice and advocacy.
We are committed to creating an accessible and supportive space. ASL interpretation and accessible materials are available by request during registration.

BIPOC adoptees have suffered from family separation and ethnic displacement. Many of us are immigrants who have also been separated from our homelands from injustices stemming from imperialism and colonialism. Many of us are Native adoptees who experience an acute kind of loss from the history of violent settler colonialism on Turtle Island that has resulted in familial and cultural loss, the degradation of the Earth, and the continued oppression Native peoples. We stand in solidarity with our Native siblings. Our organization occupies the unceded ancestral lands of the Multnomah, Wasco, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Cowlitz, Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and other tribes whose homes ran along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. We offer our deep respect and solidarity to these communities.
